AIBRIS Brisbane City Group

Our group was founded in 1993 by five passionate people who shared a commitment to human rights.

The group values collaboration and inclusion, and energetically promotes human rights work at a local level.

AIBRIS - Amnesty International Brisbane City Group

Our interests and activities include:

  • building our human rights knowledge, for example through guest speakers or "teach-ins" by group members
  • letter writing, as part of Amnesty's ongoing campain to assist individuals detained in violation of their human rights
  • running stalls at venues like the West End markets to obtain signatures in support of human rights causes
  • and fund-raising activities such as holding trivia nights.
